Back to Non-resident withholding
In development · launch targeted November–December 2026
An NR4 working-paper file that takes payments to non-residents through withholding and remittances to supported slips, the summary and a CSV for Taxprep.
The workbook prepares NR4 slips from one row per slip, with up to two income lines each, and the NR4 Summary, including amounts reported on forms NR601 or NR602. Withholding recomputes each line's tax as a memo from the rate the preparer enters, and Slip View and a Prior Year matched on the box 13 tax identification number support review. The file ships with 25 recipient rows, and the Export Import to CSV button writes the file Taxprep imports.
Values are for the 2025 NR4 season, amounts paid or credited in calendar 2025; another year in box 10 reads WARN.
The workbook determines no Part XIII rate: the convention, the country, the income code and any exemption decide it, so the preparer's rate is recomputed only as a memo and never judged. The treaty table on Rates is reference only and is never enforced.

No. It prepares and documents the figures; filing takes place in the tax software after the CSV import described on the import and export page.
Yes. The .xlsm carries the macros behind its buttons: the tab filter, row sizing where the workbook repeats rows, and the Taxprep CSV. They act on the workbook and write only that CSV, beside it. There are no external links.
Sheets are supplied without active protection. Cell lock flags allow protection to be enabled when needed.
Minor corrections to the purchased edition are included under the terms of sale. A new tax year is a separate edition.
