Corporate
T2 Working Paper Package
The support behind the corporate return: trial balance through book-to-tax, capital cost allowance, loss continuity and the dividend and Part IV schedules. Adapted from a working T2 file rather than drawn on a blank sheet, with a reviewer’s control-checks dashboard already in it.
Inside the workbook
- Trial balance with GL-to-GIFI mapping, driving the GIFI income statement and balance sheet
- Schedule 1 — book-to-tax reconciliation, every add and deduct line-referenced to the return
- Schedule 8 — CCA continuity by class, with recapture and terminal loss flowing back to Schedule 1
- Schedule 4 — loss continuity and application, by loss type
- Schedule 3 — dividends received and paid, Part IV tax and the refundable dividend tax split
- Carryforward summary that rolls closing balances into next year’s file
- Control-checks dashboard grouping the tie-outs by category

How it is used
Map the trial balance once. The GIFI statements, the book-to-tax reconciliation and the schedules that feed it populate from that mapping, and the control-checks tab tells you which tie-outs are still open. Inputs are blue and unlocked; formulas are black and locked; green means a figure came from another tab. The legend is on the instructions sheet, not in your head.
What it hands the reviewer
A cross-reference column against every reported figure, a diagnostics block per schedule, and a sign-off tab with preparer, reviewer, date and notes rows — so a review comment lands on a line, not on a mystery number.
Scope and exclusions
The workbook’s version and assumptions tab states what this release covers, what it deliberately does not, and the legislative references it implements. Read it before you buy: it is included in the sample PDF.
